In a sparkling celebration of Baroque recorder music, Genevieve Lacey performs with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra in Bach’s ever-popular Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 and two joyful concerti by Telemann and Babell. Interweaving the program are gorgeous Ravel menuets and brilliant music by Handel, including his famous Arrival of the Queen of Sheba. To top off a program of delights, we have commissioned a new work by Nicholas Buc, whose Rhapsody for All Seasons was rapturously received by audiences in MCO Virtuosi’s 2014 season.
